Book cover

My idea was to mimic those old promotional air force posters from WWII. I got the idea to put billowing clouds from this war bonds poster.

Trevor, I love these goose sketches. Your comments about ambient light in the house might be accurate, and I'd love to see what you do with that idea -- as it is it doesn't strike me as strange and I enjoyed meandering around the picture to see all the details you put into it.

This cover image is brilliantly inspired and executed, and I just have three brief comments. 1) the goose's neck seems too long, especially compared to the other sketches, and the added texture there focuses my eye too much. It feels weird. Maybe try dulling that out and adding a scarf or darker clouds or some other marking feature to help the neck not feel so it just floats there? 2) Maybe try spreading out the background birds just a little bit so they're not so clustered on the goose's head. 3) Have you tried reversing the orientation so he's looking right instead of left? Not sure what'd happen, but just curious.

Again, great job! Hope these make it into the final product.
